Caitlin made her way to Texas by way of Alabama, New York City, and Nashville, TN. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Texas and received her BS in Human Development and Family Studies from Auburn University in Auburn, AL and her Master of Social Work from the University of Alabama.
A sentiment that has been foundational to Caitlin’s clinical practice comes from theologian Frederick Buechner –
“The grace of God means something like: Here is your life. You might never have been, but you are because the party wouldn't have been complete without you. Here is the world. Beautiful and terrible things will happen. Don't be afraid. I am with you.”
Her goal has always been to kindly and competently walk with individuals and families along the arduous path between the beautiful, the terrible and the call forward – sometimes existing so close one can’t feel them separately. She considers it a deep privilege to sit in the most vulnerable spaces with others and provide the structure, support, safety, and humor that is necessary for growth.
Caitlin believes it is impossible to separate mind, body, and soul. As a result, her approach to therapy is holistic yet focused on providing individualized care to each client. She has over eight years’ experience working with individuals and families in a clinical setting, and before starting her own practice, Caitlin spent the previous five years working directly with foster and adoptive families in the DFW area.
Caitlin lives locally in Dallas with her husband, one-year old twins, and their temperamental cat. In her spare time, she enjoys family walks on the Santa Fe Trail, traveling, a good pop culture deep dive, and cheering on her beloved Auburn Tigers.
